Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is located in the outskirts of the town of La Romana which is about 96 km or 60 miles east of Santo Domingo (the capital of the Dominican Republic). It is on the Caribbean side of the island-the southern side.

Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is located close to both the Santo Domingo International Airport (SDQ) and the Airport in La Romana. From the Santo Domingo Airport to Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville will take about 50 minutes and from the airport in La Romana it will take about 35 minutes. The Santo Domingo Airport is the preferred airport to arrive at as you will have more flight options and as well, they are usually less expensive than the airport in La Romana.

There are 9 restaurants with food and drink available 24 hours a day. 3 of these restaurants are no reservation and 6 require reservations. When you see formal dress, it means that they want you in a nice pair of shorts and a shirt or pants and shirt. No wet beach clothes.

Jazmin Restaurant – A mix of international food this restaurant doesn’t require a reservation, but formal dress is required.

Las Dalias Restaurant – (Buffet) A mix of international food this restaurant doesn’t require a reservation, but formal dress is required.

Beach Restaurant – This seaside restaurant offers an international menu, causal dress code and no reservations.

Los Corales Rodizio Restaurant – This is a Brazilian themed restaurant and with its romantic atmosphere is a great place to enjoy a meal after a long day at the beach. Formal dress and reservations required.

Oriental Takara Restaurant – An Asian Fusion style restaurant with an upscale theme. This restaurant required both formal dress and a reservation.

Don Pablo Gourmet Restaurant – This gourmet restaurant has a varied menu and is a great place to wind down after a day under the Caribbean sun. Formal dress and reservations required.

El Pescador Restaurant -A Mediterranean themed menu with views of the Caribbean. Formal dress and reservations required.

Le Gourmet Restaurant – Is a luxury a la carte dining experience. Both formal dress and reservations are required.

Capriccio Restaurant Traditional Italian cuisine which required reservations and formal dress.

Bars & Clubs

There are bars throughout the resort, but you will probably divide your time between the pool bars with swim up bars and the beach bar, then at night they have their Bachata Nightclub.

Tour Of The First City In the New World (Santo Domingo) -The Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is just down the road for one of the most culturally significant sites on this side of the world. Walk down the very same streets that Christopher Columbus and Sir Francis Drake walked while discovering the world of firsts. From the first paved streets, hospital, church and university there will be something here for everyone to see and enjoy. This is by far the #1 recommended tour. Isla Saona is an uninhabited island that you will arrive by boat (catamaran) but before arriving that island you will sail on the Caribbean and visit a natural swimming hole, see nature, sail along where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic Ocean and then make your way over to the island where lunch will be waiting for you. Play on and enjoy the island for a while and then when your day is over you will be taken back to the mainland by speedboat. This excursion comes with all you can drink (on the boat and island) and all you can eat on the island.

Rum and Cigar Tour -Tour both a rum factory and a cigar factory. See the process of both the world famous Dominican cigars being rolled and Dominican rum being produced and aged. You will have an opportunity to sample and buy both the rum and the cigars.
