Tours & Excursions
From the Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville we suggest the following 3 tours:
Tour Of The First City In the New World (Santo Domingo) -The Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is just down the road for one of the most culturally significant sites on this side of the world. Walk down the very same streets that Christopher Columbus and Sir Francis Drake walked while discovering the world of firsts. From the first paved streets, hospital, church and university there will be something here for everyone to see and enjoy. This is by far the #1 recommended tour. For more information on the Tour of the Colonial City or make a reservation.
Isla Saona is an uninhabited island that you will arrive by boat (catamaran) but before arriving that island you will sail on the Caribbean and visit a natural swimming hole, see nature, sail along where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic Ocean and then make your way over to the island where lunch will be waiting for you. Play on and enjoy the island for a while and then when your day is over you will be taken back to the mainland by speedboat. This excursion comes with all you can drink (on the boat and island) and all you can eat on the island.
Rum and Cigar Tour -Tour both a rum factory and a cigar factory. See the process of both the world famous Dominican cigars being rolled and Dominican rum being produced and aged. You will have an opportunity to sample and buy both the rum and the cigars.
